Youth Design is a multi-dimensional 14-month program that includes two full-time paid summers of design learning and design work experience, coupled with periodic workshops, field trips, and other events during the interim school years. Youth Design offers a multitude of opportunities for students to develop their job skills, nurture their creative talents and foster long-lasting relationships with their professional designer mentors. By using design as a vehicle to support students on their path to college and ultimately a professional career, Youth Design students are able to develop the skills necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency and compete in a 21st century workforce.
